On this day 90 years ago, Mickey Mouse made his debut. The squeaky-voiced character created by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks appeared with Minnie Mouse in the animated short, Plane Crazy. Wearing red shorts, large yellow shoes, and white gloves, Mickey Mouse is one of the world’s most recognizable characters, having appeared in over 130 (mostly short, but some feature) films—including Fantasia—and many cartoons.
