The true left has always put the people of this country before any government, body, group, committee. The Labour party in the Blair era became ever closer to the EU, signing away power, legislation, money and even parliament’s right to govern its subjects.
But tonight, in a vote that transcended mere party politics, 15 Labour MPs voted against their party in order to represent their constituents, and democracy.
