Two days before he left office, Barack Obama made a rule that states could not withhold money from Planned Parenthood unless they cannot provide service. Then Paul Ryan and Mitch “Schumer’s B*&#h” McConnell gave Planned Parenthood (PP) a half a billion in taxpayer money. But at least today’s vote is a partial win for the people. States can now withhold money from Planned Parenthood or any other company that provides abortions. The bill passed on an almost party line vote in the House and Pence’s vote made it 51-50 in the Senate. The bill now goes to President Trump.
Pence’s vote was needed to break a 50-50 tie. Republicans Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska broke with their party, voting against the measure.
