Last Wednesday, Samantha Bee returned on the air after calling Ivanka Trump a c*#t. Although she returned, most of her advertisers did not. State Farm and Auto Trader dropped their sponsorship but other advertisers just didn’t buy any ad space for her show . The producers were forced to fill the space with promos from their other stations just to fill the void. This includes Taco Bell, Apple, Haagen Dazs, and Jim Beam, and 8 other sponsors. It is bad enough that her ratings are lower than a snake’s belly but when advertisers take a pass, that’s a huge chunk of money they are losing. Unless they return or they find other sponsors, it’s hard to see how the show could continue.
